On 9th November 2025, Columbus Public School organised a special prayer
assembly to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day. The event was characterised by an atmosphere of reverence and celebration, as students actively engaged in a variety of cultural presentations that embodied the essence of Uttarakhand’s rich heritage.
The programme commenced with melodious folk songs and elegant folk dances, vividly illustrating the state's vibrant traditions, folklore, and ethnographic artistry. Students also delivered poems and essays that effectively highlighted the resilience, simplicity, and cultural splendour of Uttarakhand’s inhabitants. Each performance served as a sincere tribute to the state’s longstanding customs and ecological harmony.
The school’s Principal, Mr. Manoj Kumar, addressed the assembly with an inspiring speech, praising Uttarakhand’s cultural splendour, pristine landscapes, and spiritual heritage. He underscored the significance of safeguarding indigenous traditions amidst modern development and encouraged students to take pride in their ancestral roots.
In addition, the Managing Director, Mr. Manoj Kumar Khera, conveyed his warm congratulations to all students and faculty members for the successful completion of twenty-five illustrious years since the formation of Uttarakhand.
The celebration was not merely an event but a meaningful reflection on the state’s identity, unity, and cultural continuity. It fostered in every participant a profound sense of belonging and admiration for the heritage of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
