“A man is made by his thoughts. So he believes, so he is” - Shri Krishna
Year after year, seeing the announcement of the new parliament filled me with deep aspirations to one myself
be a part of it. Thinking about it now, I cannot help but feel how blessed I am to have got this opportunity.
It is also a duly remainder that dreams are fulfilled in this world if we work hard enough.
I would first of all like to thank the entire school management and teachers for trusting me with this responsibility.
Without them believing in me, I would not have been where I am today. I would also like to thank Krishna without whom
I am nothing.
Being selected for this position gives me an opportunity to contribute to the development of this school and carry
the legacy of this institution forward.
According to me, a good leader has 2 qualities- Humbleness and Grace. As a head boy what I wish to see is I being
admired and trusted by all the students. This admiration and trust can only be created by selflessly working for
the betterment of students. I not only want to be the head boy of this school but the head boy of students, someone
who listens to their problems and gives inputs and solutions.
To my dear Columbians I would like to share one more secret. This school offers a lot of extracurricular activities in
which one should actively participate. They help in the overall development of an individual which is more important
than the rat race for marks. The motive of schooling is not just learning but the creation of an environment by which
children can get ready to face the challenges of real life. I want to see all of us to thrive in this environment and
if we do success is waiting for us.
One last point. I want all of us to have a role model but not the flawed ones as we have today. Tough as it is, I want
all of us to live our lives on principles like Shri Rama lived, to have that grace, humbleness, respect for everyone,
compassion, selflessness. Only then will we be able to take this nation forward.

In my opinion, "A true Columbian is the one who strives to become better every successive day, not only in
Academics but also in Humanitarian values".
It is an honor for me to become head boy of such a prestigious institution. I am very grateful to all my
teachers and Principal who thought of me to be capable of bearing the great responsibilities, and I promise
to establish discipline in our school and maintain its decorum. Our School aims at transforming every
individual to become men and women of competence, conscience, compassion and commitment.
To all the Columbians, I would say, sincerity and hard work with full dedication always deliver great results.
Once you make a clear decision to work hard by casting off all mental limitations and throw your whole heart
into the accomplishment of your goals, the success is guaranteed.
Being a part of Columbus, for its long years, I can assure you that this is one of the best institution that one
can be a part of.
At last ,I would like to say to all fellow colombians that "This school gives you enormous opportunities, grab them
because in future you may only fret over losing them".
Thank you

“Being a part of Columbus for its long years I can assure you that this is one of the best institutions that one can be a part of. I feel myself very honoured and privileged to be the Head Boy of this great institution.”
First of all, I am very grateful to the school staff for believing in my potential and giving me the opportunity to serve my school as the head boy.
From the very first day in the school, I have learnt many lessons not just limited to academics but about life. And on the basis of that, I can surely say that Columbus is not a school where one is only taught lessons related to curriculum; instead it is a school where one is taught lessons related to life as well.
My fellow Columbians, I feel proud to say that we have performed very well as far as academics, sports & co-curricular activities are concerned but these are still opportunities for enhancement. So we need to engage ourselves in working all our weak areas and optimizing our performance.
According to me there are 4 D’s for success.
(1) Desire
(2) Determination
(3) Discipline
(4) Direction
And we being Columbians do not need to worry about being provided the right direction.
I also request the senior students to take all the responsibility of guiding the juniors and motivating them to strive towards excellence.
At the end I urge all students to work hard in their respective areas so that we can soar high and high.
Thank you

“Coming together is the beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success.”
School is not only an infrastructure, but it is a practice for future; the things taught in school are not the education .
Dear Columbus Family,
I Would like to begin with expressing on behalf of the student council & myself, immense gratitude to the school management & all the teachers for electing us & considering us capable enough to take this responsibility. We promise you that we won’t let you down.
The Year 2017-2018 will no doubt be a challenging year for me as try to play my part & help lead the school in a positive direction. This is no doubt my biggest leadership opportunity I have been given.
For me, being the head boy is not about the position or a title, but it is about action and example which can make a difference. I stand here as a leader not just to lead you but to work in collaboration with each one of you to work hard with all my Zeal, devotion and determination.
My Message to my fellow Columbians would be that, sometimes in the race of life, there would be moments when your legs will tremble and you’ll hit hard on the ground. People will stamp over you & will try to trip you over to win their race. But, it would be at that moment when you’ll have to use your will- power & mental Strength to show them your mettle and make them understand that hard work, determination and will- power are the keys that will help you win this amazing race of life like a true winner.
“Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency, Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.
Thank you

“A Leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way”
I feel very proud and privileged to have been elected as the Head Boy of the school. Being appointed as
the Head Boy of the school is indeed a great achievement for me; and the very fact has helped me
increase my confidence and determination. Down the years whenever I would see my seniors being
elected as members of the school parliament, it would really drive a desire deep within my heart to
one fine day see myself standing at that coveted position. In my Endeavour to fulfilling my desire to
being elected as a member of the school parliament, the school and especially my teachers have
allowed me to excel and thrive in an environment – full of passion and determination. Their ideas and
judgment have helped me in improving my qualities and abilities. As I would say -
“A good leader inspires people to have confidence in the leader but a great leader inspires people to
have confidence in themselves.”
Every morning, dressing up for school, when I wear my Head-Boy Badge upon my chest, I am
reminded of the responsibilities and challenges that my position of leadership entails. The prime
challenge of leadership is to be all strong, bold, thoughtful and humble at the same time.
I have come to believe that truth is the most valuable gift you can share with other people. I realized
that being Head Boy wasn’t a race about trying to be better than anyone else. Being Head Boy is about
trust. Having the trust of the school and its pupil; to represent them whenever called upon.“I do not
want my crown on my head; I want it in each and everyone’s heart.”
Sharing my experience and leadership with fellow Columbians is one of my desire. My time at CPS
marked me to reflect on what school has all been about – “A school isn’t just a place where student
come to learn, it is a secure environment that plays a key role in moldings for our future.”
At last I would like to say to all fellow Columbians that “This school gives you enormous opportunities,
grab them because in future you may only fret over losing them.”
