Description: On Monday, 26th June 2023, the Columbus Public School observed the International Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking. The NCC cadets of the school actively participated in the activities aimed at raising awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and promoting a drug-free society. The cadets began the day by showcasing their creativity and critical thinking skills through a slogan writing activity. They crafted powerful slogans that highlighted the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of preventing illicit trafficking. Following the slogan writing, the cadets engaged in an artistic endeavour of poster making. The posters depicted the devastating consequences of drug addiction and emphasized the need for a united effort in combating the illicit drug trade. In a solemn ceremony, all the cadets took a pledge to stay away from drugs and actively discourage their usage. The pledge served as a reminder of their commitment to lead a healthy and drug-free life. The International Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking activities at Columbus Public School highlighted the ongoing battle against drugs. The dedicated NCC cadets demonstrated their determination to create a healthier and safer future for themselves and their community through slogan writing, poster making, and taking pledges.
